HOW TO PREPARE A EULOGY
The eulogy does not have to be restricted to just one person; several people may pay tribute if so desired.
One person might discuss the early years. Another tribute may come from a business or work colleague who speaks about their career and achievements. Another might be a best friend who speaks about their character. And of course children or grandchildren who share their memories, their love and any life lessons they have received.
Some choose to read their script while others may opt to speak more off-the-cuff.
Either way, it is worthwhile noting that if there are several speakers, you may have to be strict with their time allotment - five minutes each usually works very well.
Of course, whilst some families prefer to prepare and read out their own eulogy, many others look to me to do this as part of my service. If your preference is for the latter, please provide me with whatever information and/or memories that you wish to be included and I will use my expertise to create a touching and meaningful tribute for you.
